Biomethane Industry is an Italian group specialized in the design, construction and management of Biomethane and Biogas plants, operating through the anaerobic digestion of agri-food waste, MSW, agricultural by-products and zootechnical sludge.

Synergy deals with the construction of the ‘biology’ section of Biogas and Biomethane plants and nitrogen abatement plants. The company was born from the desire of Eliopig, the ‘mother’ company that built over 100 plants, to invest in improving its know-how by founding Synergy, a company dedicated to the development of plants for the production of energy from biomass.
Methodo Chemicals operates in the field for the biological management of Biogas and Biomethane plants. It is composed of experts in the stabilization of the production process and in the economic optimization of the process. Methodo develops assistance proposals, tailor-made for the customer’s needs and the system, setting progressive goals to be achieved.
Switch Engineering is responsible for the design, development and construction of RES and Industrial plants at national and international level. It designed one of the first Biomethane plants powered by MSW, connected to a plant for the production of hydrogen from photovoltaic production.

Potato and tuber industry: applications
Potato waste and effluents from processes are particularly suitable to be treated anaerobically. On the one hand, the solid fractions discarded from the preparations of the tubers and, on the other hand, the starch dissolved in the effluents, allow through anaerobic treatments to make the purification process highly advantageous. In these processes, the anaerobic digestion of waste and residues, combined with cogeneration techniques, can generate renewable energy to the tune of 20-30% of electricity consumption.
Beverage industry: applications
The infusion techniques produce a considerable waste, partly hydrolyzed by the process itself. These are matrices that can always be used in anaerobic digestor. Factories, which process fruit for the production of purees and juices, emit effluent with a strong dissolved sugar pollution. There is a specific anaerobic technology based on biomass, which conforms in granular colonies: this technology allows a 90% reduction in purification costs.
